One box of photographic material has been organised into key categories such as campaigns [eg ‘Save Bruce Grove Post Office’ campaign, Joy Gardner Campaign, ‘Tottenham Three’, Stephen Lawrence Inquiry, African Reparations Movement ‘Benin Bronzes’ campaign, pensioners protest demonstration, teachers rally], local events / communities [eg Jewish community, Asian community], Labour Party Affairs [eg Bernie Grant’s electoral victory as MP], Council matters [eg Bernie Grant’s victory as Leader of Haringey Council and first Black leader of a European local authority], personal/family photographs, portraits, personalities. Many photographs are yet to be identified and categorised. One box of unsorted colour 5×7 photographs largely relate to Bernie Grant’s international visits and exchanges. The archival display browser contains both colour and black and white portraits of Bernie Grant and photographs of Bernie Grant with key personalities [eg Bernie Grant with leading figures such as Nelson Mandela, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Lennox Lewis].
